From colour to red films
The picture I took in 110mm of my friend Laura
Redscale is an analogue photography technique that consists of shooting the film from the opposite side, exposing the emulsion through the base of the film. It is called the red scale because the base of the film is more sensitive to the colour red and therefore the resulting photos are in this tone.
Experimental and creative photography has always existed. Right now when we have applications and programs available to put effects on photos, we find that analogue and creative photography is making a comeback.
To achieve this effect you have two options. The first is to buy the Redscale film directly. Many companies like Lomography already sell the film in different formats like 110mm or 35mm and we just have to put it in our camera and shoot. The other option is more complicated and consists of manually placing the film upside down in an empty film canister by yourself.
If you are interested in doing it like this, I leave you here a video when they explain how to do it step by step.
